Bridge to proper media organization

Aren’t you tired of using the same file explorer? Copying and pasting files? Selecting files one by one, grouping them, and then duplicating them. The whole process takes you 15-20 minutes. That’s if you have not so many files. And what if you are in a hurry and you need to find a certain image at once? Usually, what you would do is you will go to the search box and search for the containing folder, not the specific image alone because your images aren’t always renamed. Unless you’re very specific about your files that every time you import them, you rename them one by one. That’s a lot of hassle. Let’s say you have 400 files in that containing folder, finding a single image is going to take another 5 minutes of your time. Why don’t we just save the hassle?! Get out of that traditional file explorer that not just takes up a lot of disk space but an amount of your time. Use something new, something efficient and fast. Something called Adobe Bridge.

ADOBE BRIDGE

Adobe produced a lot of different software which are all very helpful for Multimedia Arts Practitioners. One of these software I really admire is Adobe Bridge. Adobe Bridge is a stand-alone file browser that is designed to help users attain a more organized work space with creative suits. It is very obvious that Adobe Bridge is a basic tool for organization. Adobe Bridge lets you o,port files from camera, organize them, move, locate, tag, rate, label effortlessly without leaving the interface.

First and foremost, Adobe Bridge is very user-friendly. It can also be used with other Adobe software like Photoshop, In Design, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and other Adobe applications. Browsing, viewing and organizing files are its best assets.

Another benefit of having Adobe Bridge is that it can be placed on other Adobe Apps. Adobe expanded its interface with other Adobe apps making it easier and more efficient. A file from Adobe Bridge can be opened in photoshop, illustrator, inDesign, dreamweaver or any other Adobe App the user has. You can find it in the menu bar > File > Palce It is then much easier to distribute digital assets that\n repetitively clicking on menus and place commands.

Applying Metadata in Adobe Bridge is another asset of the app. The app gives the user an easy access to the copyright data of the files. Menu bar > Tools > Append/Replace Metadata. This feature allows the user to at least put a copyright on his files and let the people know it's yours and yours alone.

Batch renaming is something you can't do using other file explorers. Batch renaming is helpful in organizing files that are randomly placed in your hard disk. You can find the Batch rename at the menu bar > Tools > Batch Rename... The main purpose of batch rename is to rename different files all at the same time after selecting them. But what's great about this is the user can get to choose to preserve the original file name or permanently rename the set of files.

What is more appealing in this app is a mini version of it. Yes. A Mini Bridge. This feature allows the user to access two Adobe Apps at the same time. Having so, organizing and editing has never been so easy! Mini Bridge can be accessed in Photoshop and InDesign. For Photoshop, go to Window > Extension > Mini Bridge. For InDesign, go to Window > Mini Bridge.

Adobe Bridge is something photographers, Multimedia Arts practitioners and even Multimedia Arts students should never miss. Not only has that it made the file organizing a whole lot easier and faster but it adds to the specific needs of users. It is very accessible to other Adobe Apps and is very user-friendly. Not only professionals can use it but even those not related to multimedia arts. If you're thinking to keep on using your file explorer for the rest of your life, save the hassle and use Adobe Bridge! It is fast, easy and efficient. This is something out of the ordinary file explorer that every user will love. There’s no question at all. I say YES to Adobe Bridge.

Advertising vs. Society

Advertisements are basically made to persuade and encourage people to entertain products and services. And what makes the society decide to buy is an effective advertisement. But how can we say that it is an effective advertisement? It is when an advertisement has the capability to change a person's perception and decision on things. For instance, a person want to buy brand x, he really wanted to buy that but then he saw the advertisement of brand y, this time he changed his mind in an instant and decided to buy brand y.

Advertisements also make people become wiser decision makers. They get to choose between a lot of products. We all know that nowadays, there are lots of businesses that are competing in the market. Having an advertisement is now almost a requirement for those businesses to have for their products, so that people will be informed and reminded that their product exists.

There are different appeals where businesses can choose from and can basically affect the emotions of the audience by connecting to them through experience. There is Fear appeal, Sex appeal and Humorous appeal. Fear appeal is an advertisement design showing the product's capability to avoid negative experiences such as embarrassment, awkwardness and distress. Sex appeal advertisement design shows the product's capability for person to increase his/her attractiveness to the opposite sex. This usually targets the teenagers. While the Humorous appeal advertisement design uses fun and excitement to encourage viewers to avail the product or service.

All those advertisement designs target to connect and relate with the audience to avail the product or service. But not only that. These advertisement designs also affects the people's emotions and their perspective in life. For example are advertisements of beauty products. These advertisements always aim to make the audience feel that they can be more beautiful by buying their product but not harming the side where they can also be beautiful by being themselves, especially for women.

Advertisements affect the people's pockets and the people's emotions. Sometimes these advertisements that are shown on television (which are widely shown and well-known) contributes to how the next generation would be. If the audience enjoyed it and is greatly affected by the advertisement, they will make it a
basis for everyday life. But advertisements don't always show moral values. That's why some advertisements are banned. It's up to the people on how they're going to perceive the advertisement.
